Thanks for the tip.

I did what you suggested, got an error and found this thread:

applied the proposed solutions, started jack and my UG802 froze completely. I edited 

/etc/security/limits.d/audio.conf
and put lighter numbers there:

@audio - rtprio 70
@audio - memlock 512000

tried again and the machine locked up again.

It's probably a bug in the hardware/kernel whatever.

I'll see if I can ask a Picuntu developer to look at it but for now, my experiments have come to a halt (again). No realtime audio on Rockchip rk3066 :-(
