I didn't install the multiarch-support package on my Debian testing system,
so it doesn't have /usr/lib32 or /usr/lib/i386-linux-gnu (and didn't have
/usr/lib64 until libjack installation).
I've made /usr/lib64 a symlink to /usr/lib as in the Ubuntu example above
and it all works fine using --prefix=/usr.
