There is indeed a small difference, let's see if it's the culprit.

In linux/alsa/JackAlsaDriver.cpp, look for the following two lines:

         port->SetAlias(alias);
         port->SetAlias(old_name);

They appear twice after applying my patch. Remove them both (two times),
IOW, delete four lines in total.

This should resemble faberman's naming convention.

But note that this is just a discussion, the final solution might look
completely different from what you've used in the past. ;)
