should do. qjackctl has specifically and somewhat controversially been
designed to be a "single instance" app. but i'm puzzled why you even
wrote ... the cost of trying this is cheap.

however .... this is not going to do what you want by itself. you will
need to track down jack_diplomat to act as a bridge between the two
jack servers.
